Old Hymn: I Can Make It
Old Hymn: I Can Make It
Hello I am trying to find the lyrics to an old hymn that we used to sing at church (Baptist). The song came from an old green, paper back hymnal.
I believe the name of the song was 'I Can Make It'
Here is what I think was a part of the chorus/song:
"i can make it through the storms Jesus keeps me so completely i can make it all the way home. This road that i am traveling, some day I will lay down and I'll never have burdens again"
I can not remember the entire song and would like to locate the lyrics if at all possible. Thank you for your help in this matter. Teresa

Old Hymn: I Can Make It
It is called "I can Make It"
The road that I am traveling so often grows dim
Overshadowed by clouds in the sky
But I'm looking unto Jesus leaning closer to Him
And He keeps me with His watchful eye.
chorus
I can make it, through the valley, over mountains, through the storm
Jesus keeps me so completely
I can make it all the way home
This load that I must carry some day I'll lay down
And I'll never have burdens again
This ole' cross will then be traded for a robe and a crown
When I've entered that land without sin!
The road that I am traveling so often grows dim
Overshadowed by clouds in the sky
But I'm looking unto Jesus leaning closer to Him
And He keeps me with His watchful eye.
chorus

When I've entered that land without sin!

Old Hymn: I Can Make It
Looking for the author of "I Can Make It". It was in a book " Rejoice Together" by the Tennessee Music and Printing Company.
Old Hymn: I Can Make It
Words and music of "I Can Make It " were written by Rosa Henry.

Also - there was a second verse between the first & third verses already posted above:
"I have found a Friend in Jesus, He's all that I need,
He will lead me o'er mountains so steep;
He is guarding like a Shepherd watching over His sheep;
In the valley my soul He will keep."

Does anyone have the slightest idea as to where I can hear this hymn, or get the sheet music? I've been asked to sing it at a funeral, and cant seem to find it anywhere. Thank you in advance!
