I've got that song on cassette and recently transferred it into digital so it's in my ipod and itunes. I had this particular song as one of the top of the list to get done, it is really haunting. My tape was bought from Rochester MI. college for Christians which at the time I think was mainly specifically for members of The Church of Christ. It is done by the Meistersingers, acappella chorus. I also bought some albums, back in the early 80's, there was many I could not afford to buy. Now, these tapes seem to have vanished off the face of the earth, the only known source I have found is in the iTunes store, by the Dallas Christian choir. The recording techniques and materials used has been vastly improved on those from iTunes, but of course they did not have every song I wanted. Those two choirs may be more polished and rehearsed but I have some done by the Alton Howard singers which seem to really come from the heart. Alton actually wrote a few of the songs and would speak some in recital within the songs like "God still lives" . I could post the song at Youtube than you could upload it (Standing Outside).

The group I heard sing this was the Chuck Wagon Gang (not the new group singing now, but the older one with Roy Carter singing bass). I think they are one of the best with family harmony - you don't hear that much any more.
