Death will Never Knock On Heaven's Door
1 There is hope beyond this vale of tears, Yes, beyond the silent grave;
For the ones who die in Christ the Lord, Had His blood applied to save,
In a little while we'll see the face of our Savior on that shore;
There to rest assured that the hand of death Never knocks on Heaven's door.
Chorus
Death will never knock on Heaven's door, There will be no dying there;
Pain and sorrow will be felt no more, There'll be joy beyond compare;
No more open graves, no sad good-byes, They'll be gone for ever more,
For the hand of death up in paradise, Never knocks on Heaven's door.
2 What a privilege it is to know If we're sleeping on that day;
We will be the first to meet our Lord; From the grave we'll fly away.
We will meet Him in the air, we're told, There our praises to out-pour,
And to live for aye where the hand of death Never knocks on heaven's door.
3. When the graves begin to burst that day, Heaven's bells begin to ring;
"O grave, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?"
When we hear the voice of our dear Lord, Saying, "Time will be no more."
We will live anew where the hand of death Never knocks on Heaven's door.

Thank you so much! This is a great song and I can see why my Grandma chose it. Do you by any chance have music notes to the song?

Maybe someone who knows music can get this together. This is the best I could do. Wish I had a scanner. I'm sorry about your grandmother. May God bless you all.

Thanks so much for the words of this song. My mother taught me this song as a youth and we sang it in most funeral. My Grand father now decease was a choir master and thought us music. The words of this song my mother had in one of the old gospel song books. Somehow it got lost and we had the lyrics mixed up. I really appreciate this because the family was asked recently to sing this same song in a funeral for one of our church members and I taught not again we would have the word mixed up. I decided to search the net and here it is. I am really elated and I know my mom and brother who would be singing with me at the funeral would also be. Thanks a million. God Bless.
