I Heard Squire Parsons Sing It, But Can't Find It

Post by mitytim » Fri Sep 16, 2005 4:47 pm

Title may me: "I Thank God He Found Me Just In Time"

Chorus goes something like-

Just before the waves of slumber
had rocked my soul to sleep
Just before the angry billows
had pulled me out too deep
God knows how long I drifted
When I saw the old life line
and I thank God He found me, just in time.

I would like the track if possible. too.
Thanks, Tim

Hi Tim,

I believe these are the lyrics, but I can't find a track. Perhaps someone else could help?

Just In Time
Dottie Rambo

I was going down for the last time
No one heard my cry
My voice was swiftly fading
Drifting with the tide
When a hand from out of nowhere
Gently slipped in mine
And I thank God He found me just in time

I don't remember drifting
'Cause pleasure rode with me
When careless winds start blowing
You drift so easily
And storms make no exception
And friend I've sure had mine
And I thank God He found me just in time

Chorus
Just before the waves of slumber
Had rocked my soul to sleep
Just before the angry billows
Had pulled me out too deep
God knows how long I'd drifted
When I saw the old lifeline
And I thank God He found me
Just in time

Hope it helps. God bless,
Steve

Brother Steve:
That's it! Thank you very much. If nothing else, I can let our piano player listen to it. She has a great talent of hearing and playing.
Thanks Again.

That song was recorded by the Hinsons and quickly rose to #1 in its day. It is still an inspiration and the anointing upon it is just as solid as "The Lighthouse"...

God Bless

It was also recorded by Teddy Huffam and the Gems ( A black Gospel group out of Richmond, VA) in the late '70's or early '80's.
