Words to song - Big Enough
Words to song - Big Enough
I have searched for this songfor 7 years. It was sung by Rusty or Howard Goodman on the Gospel Singing Jubilee when I was a teenager. The CHorus goes "My Lords big enough to fight my battles, big enough to calm my fears, big enough to solve my problems big enough to dry my tears, hes big enough to pick me up when I stumble and fall and when I come to the banks of the chilly Jordan river, He'll be big enough to carry me across.I have written to Happygoodmans and no results. Can you find this song?

Words to song - Big Enough
Hi Guest,
Here are the lyrics to "Big Enough" by the Happy Goodmans.
1.
I've sailed through troubled waters on the stormy sea of life.
I've seen some gloomy days, walked through some dark old nights.
But walking close beside me is a friend who'll never leave.
Through troubles and trials I can still wear a smile,
Because I know He's watching over me.
Chorus
And my Lord's big enough to fight my battles,
Big enough to calm my fears,
Big enough to solve my problems, big enough to dry my tears,
He's big enough to pick me up when I stumble and fall.
When I come to the banks of the chilly Jordan River,
He'll be big enough to carry me across.
2.
Oft times it seems each step I take will surely be my last,
And I've been in raging waters where I was sinking fast.
But of all the trials from where I started till I reach the heavenly home,
Well I had never ever and I know I'll never
Have to go it all alone.
(Repeat chorus)
God bless!
Steve

I'm so glad to have found this as I too had been searching for the words to this song for the past two years. Searching the Goodman's site and other gospel groups from that era were fruitless.
I love this song and wanted to use it as a sermon illustration. Thank you Steve for posting the lyrics!!
