trying to find hymn with closing lyric "following on your way lord"...

hello all, hope you can help...?
i recently watched a DVD called "out of season" starring dennis hopper.
a hymn featuring a heavenly-sounding choirboy backed by organ was featured in it - about 3 minutes long, it contained 3 verses & choruses. the words were difficult to make out, but i caught the following:
verse 2 starts "i watch the sunrise, shine through the dark"
verse 3 starts: i watch the sunset, fading away"
each chorus has a final line that sounds like: "following on your way lord"
it is a beautiful song, one which i should very much like to acquire a recording of it on CD or MP3 if it's available (the film credits did not help at all)

i just sung ths song, and i feel good
