some of the lyrics that i can remember of bright side is:
there's a bright side somewhere
there's a bright side somewhere
don't you rest on till you find it
there's a bright side somewhere

some of the lyrics to the fire has never gone out is:
the flame has flickered but the fire has never gone out

When your way seems dark and drear
You don't have o worry for God is near
If in your heart there is no song
Just keep the faith and keep holding on
Turn your plate down fast and pray
Jesus will always make a way
There's a bright side somewhere.

Chorus:
There's a bright side somewhere
There's a bright side somewhere
Don't you rest until you find it
There's a bright side somewhere.

(There is at least one more verse. Someone else may have the lyrics.)

On the cross as He hung and in
Shame was foresaken
As they drove the nails in His hands and His feet.
As death closed His eyes
His cries went to Heaven
Oh Father forgive them
I hear Him repeat.

Chorus:
One morning past daybreak
As the crowd slowly gathered
Like a sheep He was humbled
To His Father's own will
So sad was His face there
That the birds hushed their singing
They were walking my Lord up Calvary's hill.

In the tomb He was laid
But death could not hurt Him
He was God's only son
In this world below.
On the cross He fulfilled the
Plan of salvation
I want to thank Jesus
For He's coming again.

(Repeat Chorus 2x)

IT'S NEVER GONE OUT

I

I SHALL NOT FORGET THE DAY,
WHEN I HEARD MY SAVIOUR SAY.
COME UNTO ME, MY CHILD, I'LL MAKE YOU WHOLE.
THEN I LET MY SAVIOR IN, THERE HE FORGAVE ME OF MY SINS.
STARTED A FIRE BURNING SO BRIGHT, WAY DOWN IN MY SOUL.

II

SINCE JESUS KINDLED THE FLAME,
THINGS HAVE BEEN CHANGED NO I'M NOT THE SAME.
HE LIT THE FIRE WITH HIS GREAT ETERNAL LOVE.
DOWN IN MY SOUL NOW THERE'S PEACE JOY THAT WILL NEVER, NEVER CEASE.
THANK GOD FOR HOLY FIRE, FROM HEAVEN ABOVE.

CHORUS

IT'S NEVER GONE OUT ..., IT'S NEVER GONE OUT ...
THO SATAN HAS TRIED MANY TIMES TO MAKE ME DOUBT.
BUT WHEN I FEEL THAT WARMTH INSIDE,
I KNOW MY SOUL IS SATISFIED, THE FLAME HAS FLICKERED,
BUT THE FIRE HAS NEVER GONE OUT.

On the cross and they hung him
shame was foresaken
As they drove the nails in his hands and his feet.
As death closed his eyes
his cries went to heaven
Oh Father forgive them
I hear him redeem.

(Chorus)

One morning past day-break
as the crowd slowly gathered
Like a sheep he was humble
to his Father's own will
So sad was his face there
the birds hushed their singing
They were walking my Lord up Calvary's hill.

In the tomb he was layed but
death could not hurt him

On the cross he fulfilled the

Didn't the Stanley Brothers record this song (in a bluegrass format)? This may be a long shot, but try looking for Bluegrass gospel lyrics. There is a web site that has many lyrics for songs recorded by bluegrass artists (Stanley Brothers, Bill Monroe, and many others). Worth a look!
