I used to hear these lyrics (close as I can remember) on a gospel radio show used as an introduction to the show. I have been trying to find the author, the real title and the rest of the lyrics for years without any success. Can anyone help?
I have read in the bible, how God so loved sinners
That he let his Son die in their place
Paid the price for their sins, on the old cross of Calvary
Praise the Lord, for his marvelous grace
I'm so glad, there's a bridge o'er river
And one day I will see his sweet face
I'm so glad, I will go there forever
Praise the Lord for his marvelous grace

The Chuck Wagon Gang recorded a song titled "Thank The Lord For His Marvelous Grace" in 1970. The Primitive Quartet recorded "Thank The Lord For His Marvelous Grace" on their Just A Pilgrim album. The verse you post here is the same except the fourth line - they sing "Thank the Lord for his marvelous grace". The chorus is worded a bit differently, but is basically the same, It is in one of the Primitive Quartet song books.
Thank God, there's a bridge o'er the river
And I'll see my Redeemer's sweet face
With Him, I shall live there forever
Thank the Lord for His marvelous grace
There's another verse, but I can't remember the words.
Steadfast
Thank God, there's a bridge o'er the river
And I'll see my Redeemer's sweet face
With Him, I shall live there forever
Thank the Lord for His marvelous grace
There's another verse, but I can't remember the words.
Steadfast
Bridge oer the River
Thank you so much for your reply.
