Yes..my mom has sung that song since i was a little girl!
She thinks the title is "I Saw a Man" You are right about the chorus

Verse 1: Last night I dreamed an angel came
He took my hand, he called my name
He bid me look the other way
I saw a man I heard him say

Verse 2: When I awoke my heart beat so
There in the dark I saw a glow
