Methodist kid Summer camp song

Post by bruce angus » Sun Aug 02, 2026 2:24 pm

My sister has been trying to find a song we used to sing at a summer camp we went to. The director would write the lyrics on posterboard and animatedly sing along

Songs like I am a C, I am a Ch, I am a Christian, and a song about David and Goliath

The one we can't find, she believes starts like this

There was a man, he had a plan. That he'd build him a house, a house that was brand new. So he looked around, found a piece of ground, and thought this'll do

Any help would be appreciated. Sounds like it's about Matthew 7 or Job, but I've had no luck finding a song remotely similar
