You don't have to go there alone
I am searching for the lyrics to an old song or hymn my daddy used to sing to me when he rocked me to sleep. I asked him once and he said the title was something like John was a Baptist or st. John the Baptist. The only words I remember are something like "You don't have to go there alone". I was born in 1966 in Natchez, Mississippi. I lost my father to suicide this past January and am trying to find the lyrics to possibly put on his tombstone. Maybe it is a Southern hymn. I can't find it in any of the hymnals or through any search engines. I still have the chair he used to rock me and sing to me in. Can anyone help?
