"Service Songs", Methodist hymnal, shaped notes

Post by Guest » Wed Jul 16, 2008 4:15 am

Looking for a thin red hymnal, titled "Service Songs". It has shaped notes from the old days. One particular song I need may have "because" in the title. It has these words, to the best of my remembrance:

"How could Christ love such a world dark with sin and woe,
Into condemnation hurled by the mighty foe.
He could love the universe true to His command
But His love for one perverse I could never understand.
He who dared for man to die, on the cross (----)
Loved me though I know not why. Loved me, just because."
