"I planted a seed and now that seed is growing"???

I am looking for a hymn that goes something along the lines of:

"I planted a seed and now that seed is growing,
oh how that seed is growing,
out of all the life of me.
I planted a seed and there's no way of knowing,
no there's no way of knowing if its fruit or flower or weed,
no there's no way of knowing,
until it blooms for all to see."

It is about the fact that often you don't know the full consequences of your actions until it is too late. Can anyone help?
