need lyrics about an old clock
A song I heard when I was very young, I can't remember the lyrics. It was about an old clock. ..."it stopped, short, never to go again when the old man died..... stopped without slumbering, tick tock...tick tock.. Does anyone know this song? Thanks!

need lyrics about an old clock
I remember singing this with my sister to my great granny's organ accompaniment from her well worn song book
My grandfather's clock was too large for the shelf
So it stood ninety years on the floor
It was taller by half than the old man himself
Though it weighed not a pennyweight more
It was bought on the morn of the day that he was born
And was always his treasure and pride
But it stopped, short never to go again
When the old man died
Refrain:
Ninety years without slumbering
tick, tock, tick, tock
His life seconds numbering
tick, tock, tick, tock
It stopped, short never to go again
When the old man died
My grandfather said that of those he could hire
Not a servant so faithful he found
For it wasted no time and had but one desire
At the close of each week to be wound
Refrain
And it kept in its place, not a frown upon its face
And its hands never hung by its side
But it stopped short, never to go again
When the old man died
Refrain
It rang and alarmed in the dead of the night
An alarm that for years had been dumb
And we knew that his spirit was pluming for flight
That his hour for departure had come
Refrain
Still the clock kept the time with a soft and muffled chime
As we silently stood by his side
But it stopped short, never to go again
When the old man died
Refrain
Ninety years without slumbering
His life seconds numbering
It stopped short, never to go again
When the old man died
My grandfather's clock was too large for the shelf
So it stood ninety years on the floor
It was taller by half than the old man himself
Though it weighed not a pennyweight more
It was bought on the morn of the day that he was born
And was always his treasure and pride
But it stopped, short never to go again
When the old man died
Refrain:
Ninety years without slumbering
tick, tock, tick, tock
His life seconds numbering
tick, tock, tick, tock
It stopped, short never to go again

Thank you so much for these lyrics!!!!!
need lyrics about an old clock
There is another one about a clock. I think is called God's Clock.
Some of the lyrics are
I set my life by God's clock, its never fast or slow..
God's Time....is right....He knows whats best for me?
Anyone know the rest of the lyrics and where I can get the music for it?

need lyrics about an old clock
1st
I set my life by God's great clock; his time is always right
He time the wind, the rain, the snow, he times the day and night
2nd
I set my life by God's great clock; He's never fast or slow
He plans a perfect day for those who seek His will to know
Chorus:
God's time: tick tock is right: tick tock, There's none so wise as He!
His hand upholds the whole wide world;
He knows what's best for me tick tock
I set my life by God's great clock; his time is always right
He time the wind, the rain, the snow, he times the day and night

I sang this song at VBS over 60 years ago. Praise God that I found it. Would be wonderful if our young ones could sing it now!!!!!

Yes! VBS 1960. The same VBS where I gave my life to Christ. I still have the “craft” from that VBS which was a large plaque with a mosaic picture made from seeds of different kinds. It is a picture of a clock. And the caption is: “God’s Time”.
