the chorus word for word is: we've got the power in the name of jesus, we've got the power in the name of the lord, though satan rages, we will not be defeated we've got the power in the name of the lord

how i know is my aunt used to sing it in church my family is the pastorhood and it's a very small church less than 50 we've got about ten small benches so yeah but there is the real chorus

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU... i was looking for the lyrics to this song. It always blesses me, and I havent heard it since I moved. We used to do this song on our annual Emmaus Walk

I too have been looking for the music for this. Our song leader wants to sing it soon as they have the overhead for the chorus. So I took one of the Youtube videos and wrote out the melody in the key of F and then found that Bb and C chords worked with it too. Told our song leader that I will play it if he will learn the verses and sing them solo. hahaha If everyone sings loud enough they won't even notice if I miss a chord or two on the piano. It's a great song and gonna be fun to teach our little 5 person choir and eventually the whole congregation.

Wow! Forgot that I really did already find the music for this. It's in a fairly recent compilation called More of the World's Greatest Southern Gospel Songs. I just felt that I would eventually find that I already have it somewhere amongst the hundreds of music books I already have and storage space is getting in short supply here. My new rule is that a book must have at least three songs that I really need before it gets purchased.
