I need the lyrics to "Sleep, Holy Child", which is part of the "Night of Miracles" cantata by John W. Peterson. I have the sound track legally purchased from his company but do not have the lyrics to that track (#6). Email: [email protected]

This is my all-time favorite Christmas cantata. And the song "Sleep Holy Child" is my favorite song in it. It is now out of print. I would LOVE to get a copy of it. Paul Griswold [email protected]

See my message on "No Room". I directed Night of Miracles and still have the 1961 tape which I will soon be converting to CD. My wife is the soloist on this great Christmas lullaby ...Don R.

These are the words from the solo "sleep Holy Child" from Peterson's Night of Miracles.

Sleep holy Child for Thou art safe in Heaven's keeping
Angels hover near and they are here to guard Thy sleeping
Shadows of the night will in the morning light be gone
Sleep holy Child, So meek and mild Sleep on.
At Thy crib we find Faith and hope have shined

Beaming, their light is beaming,
Gleaming to all man-kind.
Sleep holy Child, tonight with Thee our hopes all rest,
Matchless is Thy worth, For in Thy birth, The earth is blest.

Sleep holy Child, Thy coming brings a brighter dawn,
Lord of life and love, From heav'n above our fears are gone
O holy Child, So meek and mild sleep on.

I hope this helps. [email protected]

Could someone send a pdf of Sleep Holy Child music -
I was hoping to be able to sing this for our Christmas Program we are doing.
My Mother sang it years ago and I would love to do the same.
I looked on the Amazon site but no copies are available.
My email is [email protected] Thanks

I am looking for the out of print Christmas Catata NIGHT OF MIRACLES, by John W. Peterson. Only place to find it is in England and no time or $ for shipping it here to US in time. Does anyone have a copy that they would be willing to to scan and email or fax. I have sheet music for No Room and a not-complete Sleep, Holy Child (missing the 4th page), if anyone needs those.
