Details about the song "Down and Out Row"?

Post by dnuttall » Mon Mar 18, 2024 12:26 pm

A friend played a song he has off-line that seems to be called "Down and Out Row".
It's a novelty-type song and the lyrics start as follows in a combined narration/singing style:

I woke up Sunday mornin', feelin' kinda low
My wife said "what you need is revival in your soul"
We headed off to church as she grabbed me by the arm
Hey, if it don't do you no good, it surely won't do you no harm.

Well, when we got to church, there was sister Flo,
"How ya doin' today" I asked, she gladly let me know.
She told me about her rheumatism, old Arthur she does know,
"I didn't sleep a wink last night, and I can't hardly go.

I'm interested to know the artist, songwriter, publisher, etc.
PROBABLY mid-to-late 20th century, but that's only a guess.

Please post or PM me if you have knowledge of this song.
TIA.

I'm interested in geometry dash lite and to know the artist, songwriter, publisher, etc.
PROBABLY mid-to-late 20th century, but that's only a guess.
