I need to find this hymn for my grannies funeral. The only words i know are

My soul is sad, my heart is breaking tonight, will you not stay oner more moment with me

I think it might be an easter hymn

This song is a really sad song. As a child when we sang this in little school it brought me nothing but pain and upset. I strongly suggest children are NOT learned this at school as i dont want another child going through the heartbreak i did. I CRIED MYSELF TO SLEEP!!!!!!!!!! i was just a little child

It is a sad hymn but with beautiful tune, accompaniment and words. When taught to children in the context of the story of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane they realise that it was a sad time for him but that makes Easter Sunday all the more joyful. It is a favourite during Holy Week with many children.

It's a universal message. Even Jesus needed the comfort of his friends.
It's sad because it's true.
We are all just walking each other home.
