nearing the shore

Post by derickson » Sat May 06, 2006 1:34 pm

I know the chorus and wanted to know the rest of the song to "I'm nearing the shore, yes, I'm nearing the shore, troubles soon will be over, I'll suffer no more, oh, won't that be grand, when we enter that land, I'm nearing the shore, yes, I'm nearing the shore.

Thank you for your help, Doralee

This song is sang by "The Dixie Echoes" I am not sure who wrote it.
This is their version

We're Nearing The Shore

I see the lights of that city so bright
My home sweet home

We're nearing the shore,
We're nearing the shore
Troubles soon will be o'er
We'll suffer no more
Toiling all done, victory won
It's joy to know that we're nearing the shore

We'll see the Lighthouse, Jesus divine
Who will say, "Welcome" dear children of mine
Come in and rest this land for best
Yes, it's joy to know, that we're nearing the shore.
