O spread the tidings 'round, wherever man is found,
Wherever human hearts and human woes abound;
Let ev'ry Christian tongue proclaim the joyful sound:
The Comforter has come!
Refrain
The Comforter has come, the Comforter has come!
The Holy Ghost from Heav'n, the Father's promise giv'n;
O spread the tidings 'round, wherever man is found-
The Comforter has come!
The long, long night is past, the morning breaks at last,
And hushed the dreadful wail and fury of the blast,
As o'er the golden hills the day advances fast!
The Comforter has come!
Refrain
Lo, the great King of kings, with healing in His wings,
To ev'ry captive soul a full deliverance brings;
And through the vacant cells the song of triumph rings;
The Comforter has come!
Refrain
O boundless love divine! How shall this tongue of mine
To wond'ring mortals tell the matchless grace divine-
That I, a child of hell, should in His image shine!
The Comforter has come!
Refrain
I don't know who sang this song but will keep looking. I had never heard this before but I'm listening to an instrumental while typing and it's very pretty. God Bless and hope for the answers to your requests.

Oh! to be like Thee, blessed Redeemer,
This is my constant longing and prayer;
Gladly I'll forfeit all of earth's treasures,
Jesus, Thy perfect likeness to wear.
Refrain:
Oh! to be like Thee, oh! to be like Thee,
Blessed Redeemer, pure as Thou art;
Come in Thy sweetness, come in Thy fullness;
Stamp Thine own image deep on my heart.
Oh! to be like Thee, full of compassion,
Loving, forgiving, tender and kind,
Helping the helpless, cheering the fainting,
Seeking the wand'ring sinner to find.
Oh! to be like Thee, lowly in spirit,
Holy and harmless, patient and brave;
Meekly enduring cruel reproaches,
Willing to suffer, others to save.
Oh! to be like Thee, Lord, I am coming,
Now to receive th' anointing divine;
All that I am and have I am bringing,
Lord, from this moment all shall be Thine.
Oh! to be like Thee, while I am pleading,
Pour out Thy Spirit, fill with Thy love,
Make me a temple meet for Thy dwelling,
Fit me for life and Heaven above
Again, I will try to find the group that sings this.

what group sang 'child of the kingdom be filled with the spirit'
I found that the hymn "Oh! to Be Like Thee" is on an album entitled "MOVIN UP" by The Gospel Boys in 1970. The singers were Roger Horne, Sonny Sites, Homer Fry, Gray Johnson, and Harold Patrick. (Harmony 7001). Hope this helps. God Bless.

Are you longing for the fullness
Of the blessing of the Lord
In your heart and life today?
Claim the promise of your Father;
Come according to His Word,
In the blessèd, old time way.
Refrain
He will fill your heart today to overflowing.
As the Lord commandeth you,
"Bring your vessels, not a few."
He will fill your heart today to overflowing
With the Holy Ghost and power.
Bring your empty earthen vessels,
Clean through Jesus' precious blood.
Come, ye needy, one and all;
And in human consecration
Wait before the throne of God
Till the Holy Ghost shall fall.
Refrain
Like the cruse of oil unfailing
Is His grace forevermore,
And His love unchanging still;
And according to His promise,
With the Holy Ghost and power
He will every vessel fill.
Refrain
I found that "The McAllister Family" have recorded this hymn.

what group sang 'child of the kingdom be filled with the spirit'
I hope this is the hymn you were talking about. I couldn't find any groups that sings it. Sorry. God Bless.
The title listed was "THE THIRST OF THE GODLY SOUL". Another place I only found the last stanza which made me think it might be just a chorus, then I found this, so I don't really know.
Ho! every one that is thirsty in spirit,
Ho! every one that is weary and sad;
Come to the fountain, there's fullness in Jesus,
All that you're longing for: come and be glad!
"I will pour water on him that is thirsty,
I will pour floods upon the dry ground;
Open your hearts for the gifts I am bringing;
While ye are seeking Me, I will be found."
Child of the world, are you tired of your bondage?
Weary of earth joys, so false, so untrue?
Thirsting for God and His fullness of blessing?
List to the promise, a message for you!
Child of the kingdom, be filled with the Spirit!
Nothing but "fullness" thy longing can meet;
'Tis the enduement for life and for service;
Thine is the promise, so certain, so sweet.
