The Lord is My Shepherd

Post by Jeanimarie » Tue Nov 16, 2010 5:11 am

This isn't the one that I keep finding

I wandered along down sins lonesome valley
till I heard a sweet voice saying sinner come home
I heeded the call and now I'm so happy
I am happy today for I'm one of his own

The Lord is my Shepherd
And I shall not want
In pastures so green
He maketh me lie
Beside the still waters
He restoreth my soul
Oh glory to God
I'm so happy and whole.

I can't find the rest of the song. Any help Please????

I wandered along down sins lonesome valley

I am happy today for I'm one of his own

The Lord is my Shepherd
And I shall not want

Beside the still waters

Oh glory to God
I'm so happy and whole.

A pilgrim down here tho foot sore and weary
I will never turn back till the
setting of sun Some wonderful day
In that Beautiful cit all my traveling
days On earth will be run

Chorus:The Lord is my Shepherd
And I shall not want
In pastures so green
He maketh me lie
Beside the still waters
He restoreth my soul
Oh glory to God
I'm so happy and whole.

Our song book has this version - soprano sings the first part, with alto, bass & tenor doing the repeat. On the chorus the alto leads with other parts repeating.
1st verse:

I wandered alone....................................down sin's lonesome valley
I wandered alone ..........................................lonely and sad
Till I heard a sweet voice ........................ saying sinner come home
Till I heard a sweet voice ......................saying sinner come home
I heeded the call .................................... came to Him and repented
I heeded the call .................................. now I'm so glad
I am happy today.................................... for I'm one of His own
I am happy today .............................. for I'm one of His own

Chorus:
The Lord is my shepherd ............................. And I shall not want
The Lord is my shepherd .................. And I shall not want
In pastures so green .................................. He maketh me lie
In pastures so green .........................He maketh me lie
Beside the still waters .................................. He restoreth my soul
The cool and still waters .................. My poor hungry soul
Oh, glory to God ...........................................I'm free and made whole
Oh, glory to God ................................ I'm so happy and whole

2nd verse:
A pilgrim down here ....................................... Though footsore and weary
A pilgrim down here ....................... Weary with care
I will never turn back.........................................Till the setting of sun
I will never turn back ....................... Till the setting of sun
Some wonderful day .........................................In that beautiful city
Some wonderful day ........................ City so fair
All my traveling days ......................................... On this earth will be run
All my traveling days ......................... On this earth will be run

Hope this adds to your list. Have a good day! Steadfast
