I am looking for the lyrics to a song i learned in the early to mid 80's. Have no idea who sang it but heard it on our local radio station. Below is what I can remember of it and the second verse I think had something about a 7-11 in it...
First verse:
Wendy's got a window that's open til 1
Burger King's open til 2
You can dunk your donuts any time of the night
That you have a hankering to
Ronald sells fries til 3 am on the corner of 4th and main
But when you're getting kinda low, need some food for your soul
God's open 24 hours a day
chorus:
24 hours a day he loves you, 24 hours a day
24 hours a day he's with you, guiding you along the way
It doesn't matter who you are, he's never far away
Jesus Christ, is your guiding light
and open 24 hours a day
I have been trying for years to remember the rest of this so if anyone could help it would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks so much
24 hours a day he's with you, 24 hours a day

You can listen to the news 5, 6 and 10, read the paper after your through, or you can go downtown shop all around spend a hundred or two. You can get together with some good ole friends and talkd the night away, but when your feeling blue and there's not place to go God's open 24 hours a day.
