Oh look what I've traded for a mansion
Oh look what I've traded for a mansion
Does anyone have the rest of this song or know who wrote it? I'm not totally sure of the title either..
Oh, look what I've traded for a mansion
Look what I'm leaving behind
Look who will be there to greet me in that beautiful Paradise
I've traded my old tattered garments
He gave me a robe of pure white
I've traded it all for a mansion....
Oh, look what I've traded for a mansion
Look what I'm leaving behind
Look who will be there to greet me in that beautiful Paradise
I've traded my old tattered garments
He gave me a robe of pure white
I've traded it all for a mansion....

Oh look what I've traded for a mansion
I found these lyrics in May 2001 at the following place. Being so long ago, I don't know if still there. http://branchministry.net/songs/mansion.htm
If I remember correctly, I heard a lady sing this on the radio in my car and came home and searched for the lyrics. I don't remember the tune though or who wrote it.
LOOK WHAT I'M TRADING FOR A MANSION
Verse 1
I once heard a story
Of a sainted old mother
Who had lived out her life
Here on earth
As she lay on her death bed
Her friends gathered 'round
And these were the last word she said
Chorus:
"O look what I've traded for a mansion
O look what I'm leaving behind
O look who will be there to greet me
When I step into God's sweet paradise
I'm leaving behind all my sorrows
I'm leaving behind all my cares
For I've traded it all for a mansion
That Jesus has gone to prepare"
Verse 2
Her hands were so feeble
Her voice was so low
But she still had a smile on her face
She said "I hear singing
O they're waiting for me"
Then she looked up to Heaven and said
Chorus

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. John 14:2 [KJV]
