My brother's elderly Methodist minister is looking for a hymn with the phrase "there is a reason Jesus passed by." It could be about 50 years old. Can you help?

Thanks for this site. When I asked for the lyrics, Jesus Passed By", it didn't
come up. But when I asked for "There Was A Reason Jesus Passed By', it
immediately took me here!

We first heard this song in a revival in Irving,Tx in the summer of 1958. My husband received the Holy Ghost in that revival. That is also where we met
and then married in 1959. (50 yrs. next July,2009).
Yes, there was a reason Jesus passed by and we are SO glad He did!

Thank you so much, I've been looking for the words for this song for a long time. My Grandfather would sing it when I was a small boy. He went to be with the Lord when I was 10. Maybe now I'll get to sing it to my grandchildren some day. Bill
