Some people go to church on Sunday,
And stand up there and shout,
And then they go to work on Monday
And leave the Saviour out.
They think that they have done their duty,
And to the Lord they have been true,
But find when they reach the judgment,
Their one day religion won't do.
CHORUS
Oh you gotta live your religion every day,
You gotta live your religion every day.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday,
You gotta live your religion every day.
Some folks at summertime get happy
When the Bible time is on,
Oh how they shout and praise the Saviour,
And sing of Heaven and home,
But when the summertime is over,
And the weather gets cold in the fall,
You'll find that the summertime Christian,
Don't live his religion at all.
Now take a peek at Brother Daniel
Who lived long long ago,
They cast him in a den of lions,
The story you all know,
But Daniel had the true religion,
And toward Jerusalem did pray,
For the Lord brother Daniel delivered,
From the den of hungry lions that day.
