I have the words and tune, I need the original hymn tune?

Hi, I am researching a HS alma mater. I have the words, melody and harmony, but can't seem to find the tune it is based on. It is said to be based on an old hymn tune. Anyone know hymns well enough to take a crack at this melody?

g |e d# e g |f e f a |g f# g c |b

pick up note is a quarter note, then each measure is dotted quarter, eighth and 2 quarters until the last note as a long tone.

If you want to see/hear it, follow this link to my wikispace-

It is reminiscent of the hymn "Hushed was the evening hymn", the tune of which was composed by Sullivan of Gilbert and Sullivan.

Here is a website where you can compare the lyrics and the tune with the link to your "wikispace".
