Imagine if you will hymn

Post by deanmacgregor » Wed Nov 25, 2009 10:00 pm

Greetings. I'm hoping that somebody can assist me, as i cannot find this hymn anywhere. We used to sing it at primary school, and the only lyrics i remember are -

Imagine if you will, a village on a hill, quite and still.

I even rang that school to enquire about this, but could not assist me, as the lady who had the hymn books didn't work there any more. So i hope that someone can make my day, and will know the title, the composer, and maybe even know a place that i can get a copy of a performance somewhere.

Imagine if you will hymn

imagine if you will,
a village on a hill,
quiet and still,
quiet and still.
Imagine if you can,
a far and distant land,
covered in sand,
covered in sand.

sing a song for a baby,
sing a lullaby,
sing a song for a baby,
tropic breezes sigh.

I still sing this song now to get my babys to sleep! Can still remember being an angel and giggling all the way through this song!!
Hope this helps,

Hi, I've been looking for the book this song comes from too. All I know is it comes from a nativity book called 'Sing a Song for a Baby'. The lyrics are
Imagine if you can
a far and distant land
covered with sand
covered with sand
this is where our story began

sing a song for a baby
sing a lullaby
sing a song for a baby
tropic breezes sigh
tropic breezes sigh

Imagine if you will
a village on a hill
quiet and still
quiet and still
this is where our story began

sing a song for a baby
sing a lullaby
sing a song for a baby
tropic breezes sigh
tropic breezes sigh
