Anyone know the words to this song? I think it starts out "Unbounded grace, it reached to me, when only grace would do..."

yes I do

I have the words in front of me

the title is "Unbounded Grace" by John E. Walvoord and Don Wyrtzen

1) Unbounded grace, it reached to me, When hope was gone from view; In my despair, Christ came to me, as He alone could do.

2) Grace was for me the only way my guild could find relief; My destiny was changed that day I reached out in belief.

3) God's grace does not on me depend, It's God who is my Stay; His love is offered without end, He walks with me each day.

4) The universe with joy will ring when grace has won the day; As all creation joins to sing, "Praise God who paid man's way!"

Would any one happen to know the story behind this song? We're doing hymn portraits and would like to find the story.

Thanks,

I'm a Canadian missionary singing solo's in France, looking for a French translation.
In his songbook Don Wyrtzen himself says : UNBOUNLESS GRACE - A modern "Amazing Grace" (see Eph. 2:8-9). Note how the early American melody unifies with this tune in the final verse.

ie. I believe Don W. mistaken : Amazing Grace was composed by a British slave trader when his ship was in danger of sinking.

I am looking for a choral version of this song that we sang in church choir back in the '90s. I believe it was in one of Wyrtzen's songbooks, but I don't know which one. Can anyone help me find this version
