The chorus is as follows:

He's my friend when I need someone I can talk to.
Whenever I'm in trouble, He knows just what to do.
The earth is His footstool and Heaven is His home;
But He promised He'd never leave me alone.
And to think, He is my friend.

When you recognize he can name all the stars in the sky. Attends every funeral of each sparrow that dies. Condescend to a mere man so I can be forgiven. That's how big God is and to think he is my friend.
