I heard a song, here is a couple lines. I hope to fing the name and words.
"I believe I'll go home and meet my Father"

Maybe it's this one:

One title was "A Prodigal Son" or maybe "Like A Prodigal Son"; or it may be called "I Believe I'll Go Home". Anyway, I attended an Independent Baptist Church in the early 1980's and the song was in the hymnal (sorry, I don't recall the name of the hymnal).

If you can find any of the songbooks published around the late-60's to early 70's, especially the "New Songs of Inspiration" (they had at least volumes 7 through 10!) it may be there.

I sure hope you can find it, as this is a classic song!

Perhaps you're thinking of Andrae' Crouch's song "The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power"?

As best I recall, the first verse went something like this:

"The blood that Jesus shed for me, way back on Calvary,
The blood, that gives me strength, from day to day, will never lose its power

It flows from the highest mountain, it reaches to the deepest valleys,
Oh, the blood, that gives me strength, from day to day,
It will never lose its power"
