The Syrian king cried who is this man
knows every move I make. He must die
He said it's Elisha that great prophet of God
The king sent his armies to take him by night
Elisha's servant awoke with fright
He cried out Oh master I'm so afraid
I fear for our lives

Elisha said just look and see
our God is greater than all of these
the mountains were covered with
God's holy angels and chariots of fire
Angels are watching o're God's own
He'll fight our battles 'til they're won
and lead us to that land above
our eternal home

When waves of trouble 'round us blow
Satan tries to capture our souls
destroy our lives and make shipwreck of our faith
remember Elisha and how he prayed
we're serving the very same God today
He never changes his love for us
will not fade away

so open our eyes that we may see
our God is greater than all of these
though at times it seems we're so all alone
