Searching for "The Man of Galilee"

Hi everyone:

I'm searching for the lyrics to the hymn "The Man of Galilee" for an old friend.

It begins:
"If upon a busy street,
He and I would chance to meet"

And the chorus is:

"Yes, I would know Him,
Yes, I would know Him,
Yes, I would know Him, (not sure if this lines is repeated 3 times or not)
The Man of Galilee.

Can anyone help?

Did you get an answer to your question? I too am looking for the full lyrics & musical .

I can give you a bit more...

If upon the busy steet
he and I should chance to meet
Would my life by it's appeal
thus the Christ to me reveal
Would he kindly as of yore
teach the lowly and the poor
and reveal Himself to me
Would I know that it was he?

Yes, I would know him....etc

Would there be an outward sign
that would mark the Man Divine
Who his life so freely gave
on the cross my Soul to save
Would I know the Crucified
By His wounded hands and side
If He came again to me
Would I know that it was He?

My Dad recorded this on a reel to reel tape in the early '60's. I've just had the tapes converted to a CD which is how I've got so much of it. Maybe that's all there is (the tape cut off abruptly....)

I hope you're still picking up messages from this site - I can see just how long ago you asked the question and it's now the end of 2011 ! God bless. Perhaps you would let me know if you ever found the musical score? Pauline
