Not exactly sure if these words are exact, but the chorus is somewhat like this:
For Jesus will meet me on the banks of that river
He'll carry me to the other side
Though the winds may blow stronger.....
My dad said a man named Charles Johnson, I believe, sings this. I know there is a similar song called, "I Won't have to cross Jordan alone" I know the most well known version of this song is not the same one I need, although there are many similarities. It may even have the same title. Any help is appreciated...thanks...debbie

need lyrics...Jesus will meet me on the banks
As best I can recall:
V1
There's a mountain, in my pathway, that I must climb
There's a wilderness, out in front of me, that I must go through
There's a river, I must cross, just before I get home
But I won't, have to cross it alone
CH
Cause Jesus, will meet me (you), at the bank of that river
He will take, me (you) to, the other side
The waters, may be troubled, the winds may blow strong
But I (you) won't, have to cross it alone
(V2)
To my brothers, and my sisters, who have walked the straight and narrow
Sometimes, the road, it seems so long
But if you come down, to old Jordan, just before I get home
No you won't, have to cross it, alone
Hope this helps!
