One day the sun refused to shine, in this sinful heart of mine, I prayed both night and day, that Jesus would make a way, He heard and He answered my prayer, He answered then and there, one day He made a way for me.

This is the first verse. Can't remember the second.

There was a guitar rendition when I got saved. Here is some of the lyrics

He's my Rock my Sword my Shield, He's the Hub in the middle of The wheel, He's the Lily of the Valley, He's my brightest morning Star, ain't no difference what folks say, I'm going down on my knees and pray and we'll understand it better by and by...by and by when the morning comes and the saints of Heaven are gathered home, we will tell the story of how we've overcome and we'll understand it better by and by! I'm crying while remembering. Good cry. I was 13..that was 50 years ago. If anyone has heard this rendition and may knows a recording or the chords please post. God bless you. Enjoy
