Can't find song "Turn Around" by Country Faith

Post by john4carol » Tue Jul 29, 2025 6:52 pm

In the early 70s at Calvary Chapel, Country Faith performed "Turn Around". It was probably written by Tom Stipe or Chuck Butler (a.k.a. Charles Francis Butler III). When I couldn't find a recording of it, I searched the web for any reference to it - no luck. Though I'm as sure as I can be about the title name, I searched for the first line: "Lift your eyes up to the Lord" - nothing there either. I even tried CCLI: they don't have it by that name. However, if you're looking for it, I can give you the lyrics (with guitar chords inserted).

It sounds like "When the Trumpet Sounds” by Triumphant Quartet

Sandybney, "When The Trumpet Sounds" starts with "When the trumpet sounds we'll be called away", and not "Lift up your eyes to the Lord".

In addition, I see your IP address is from a known source of spam in Vietnam.

I'm not going to ban your account right now, because I see you didn't try to sneak in a link (which my system would eventually remove anyway along with permabanning whoever left it).

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt that this response was indeed a genuine attempt to help.

But you should know that I'm watching. And so is Someone Else.

Is there anyone else who might be able to help with john4carol's request? I've tapped most of my resources, but I'll keep looking...
