I am looking for the title of a gospel song with these words or similar words.


"Had it not been for the old rugged cross, my soul would forever be lost"


I believe this is the chorus. It's possibly a bluegrass gospel song. I can hear the chord progression going to an A chord or a 2 chord concerning music theory on "my soul would forever be lost". This melody might be different from the common gospel song "Had it not been" i have listened to had it not been but feel this song i can hear in my head is different. Is there a similar song to Had it not been that some of you have heard?
