Does anyone know the history of this hymn? Another link is broken

Hi

Ten years ago my grandad requested a certain hymn to be sung at his funeral. He gave a photocopy of the lyrics to my uncle and we sang it at his funeral two days ago. He very much loved Jesus, and loved hymns. He seemed to know so many that no one had ever heard of as well. This was the case with the hymn he requested - no one know who wrote it or it's history.

I don't know if anyone can shed any light on it. Google searches have not come up with anything.

The lyrics are:

Another link is broken,
Another soul at rest,
"Within the veil," in glory
Now dwells among the blest;
Where weariness and weakness,
And death shall be no more,
Where only welcome waits us,
From loved ones gone before.

Another voice is swelling
The glad triumphant song,
Another soul is standing
Amid the blood-washed throng;
Where endless praise ascendeth
To Him who once was slain,
Where those who love the Saviour,
With Him one day shall reign.

Another link to bind us,
To yonder shining land,
Our hearts are oft-times yearning
To join the ransomed band.
Where tears and signs and sorrow,
For aye shall flee away,
And night shall change to morning
T pure and perfect day.

Another soul has finished
The pilgrim path below,
No more to see but dimly,
But "face to face" to know;
Where mysteries have vanished,
God's hidden dealings plain,
Where all earth's loss is over,
In Heaven's eternal gain.

This hymn was sung to the tune of Aurelia.

Any light that can be shed on this would be much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance

Justyn
